Old slow Tivo Box

My tivo box is over 10 years old. It's become incredibly slow, apps take an age to load and iplayer often buffers. I also have a V6 which is lightning quick in comparison. Surely the Tivo box is  due for replacement with a V6?  How do I get this done?   It does seem very unfair that new customers pay less and get much better equipment.

Thanks for your post regarding the slow TiVo box.

I can arrange a swap for you to a new V6 box if you like.

There will be no charge at all, and it will be a lot faster than making a brew

If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security. 
If you can check the Logo top right of your screen that would be great.

Faulty TiVo's are now replaced with V6 as a matter of course, and if iPlayer is buffering that's an indication of a failing internal modem - which is a fault.

If there's no fault, then VM have no proactive replacement of working equipment - and arguably why should they - but anytime your contract is due for renegotiation is a good time.

In your case, do you get any flashing green lights on the front-left of the TiVo when OnDemand buffers? That would confirm a faulty internal modem and therefore a fault replacement with a V6.

At what point does the slowness of the box become a fault? I can make a cup of tea in the time it takes my Tivo box takes to load iPlayer. Even opening the epg can take over half a minute. Let loyal customers  go to rot is VMs modus operandi, unless they threaten to cancel of course...
