How do I get an upgrade tv box

I’m going round and round the App.  All I need is a new tv box which I understand is free.  After lengthy wait managed to speak to one guy who wanted to sell me an upgrade to include a multitude of channels.  I’m 75 I don’t need them but to use my kids Christmas presents to me of Netflix I need a new box.  How difficult is it to get one!

You've posted in the TiVo forum so I presume that's what you have. The newer V6 runs the exact same software you currently have, but on a much newer box with more recording tuners and the Netflix app.

Or forget about changing the TV box and get an HDMI attached streaming device from a High Street retailer?
