Hi @Stella71

Amazon Prime has never been available on the original tivo boxes. Furthermore netflix is going to be removed from the original tivo boxes from the end of October so VM have started sending out emails offering tivo users a free upgrade to the newer 360 boxes. It's a completely different operating system (Horizon) to what you are used to and lacks some of tivo's patented features, but is a lot faster, has more apps including Prime and netflix, double the recording capacity, and voice control. Some people love it, others hate it.

There's a customers video review of the 360 on youtube < here >  although it's a few years old (the 360 gets constant updates) it will give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it works.

If you do switch to a 360 box then you can't change back, so if you don't fancy that then have a chat with regrades and negotiate to see if you can get a free swap to a V6 box which runs the tivo interface that you are used to  by dialling 150 from a Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, but it's best to call at 8am to avoid call queues

To add to the previous reply - just be very clear on what is an upgrade and what is a migration. The V6 runs the exact same TiVo-software as your existing box, but on much newer hardware - the same hardware as the TV360. It is clearly an upgrade.

TV360 is fundamentally different software, and is designed around the OnDemand world first and recording second. If that's your usage, it will potentially suit you. If you choose to convert to a TV360 directly, there is no changing your mind afterwards.

If you chose to upgrade to a V6 first, and you then find you'd prefer a TV360, that's an option open to you - and the subsequent conversion will be by means of an "over the air" reformat & software install.

Make sure you get a V6, don't go anywhere near the 360. If you later want the 360 software  then you can. But you can't go from 360 to V6.
