A zero day threat has been discovered on Chromium based browsers (Edge, Chrome etc).  Go to the three dots, Help,  About <browser> then check for updates.

Edge should update itself automatically, (it did earlier) but if it doesn't, follow the above instructions.

I noticed that the other day! LOLZ

I ran SFC /scannow as Administrator from the CMD prompt,  it found corrupt files and repaired them

so now the Weather app is back and working again 👍

It should be noted that Edge needs to be updated manually following the instructions above.  Not all Edge updates are included with cumulative updates.
