Block Snapchat Spotlight?

Hi,

My young son has snapchat on his phone to keep in touch with his friends, but yesterday he asked me how to turn off Spotlight as it's very distracting. Spotlight is a tiktok/reels-like infinite video feed that was added to Snapchat.

There isn't anyway to turn this feature off in the app so I wonder if it's possible to block the spotlight address/domain at my virgin router instead. I've done a bit of digging and found the following:

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

I fixed it by blocking the domains in this reddit post in pihole running on a raspberry pi

I found this:

Step 1: Open Snapchat. Tap the bitmoji icon in the top left corner of your personal page.

Step 2: Tap the gear button to get to the settings menu.

Step 3: Tap “Manage” in the screen of settings.

Step 4: Next, tap the “Privacy” option, find the “Spotlight” option, and turn it  off.

Thanks for the reply, but "Step 3: Tap “Manage” in the screen of settings." doesn't make any sense, can you elaborate please?

I agree with you (copied and pasted).

This is the closest I can see to what you want to do in the official help Faqs https://help.snapchat.com/hc/en-us/articles/13904198624276-How-do-I-restrict-content-for-my-teen-in-...
