Hi Petersladdie 👋

Welcome back to the community! Thank you for posting to let us know about your feedback surrounding the 'are you still watching' function.

Just ahead of raising this to the team for you, it would be really helpful to get some additional information. If you can please let us know;

-Does this only happen on a specific channel or service? (Please let us know which channel it has happened on)

-Does this only happen with when watching the football? (Or does it also happen with any other extended length programming? - EG anything lasting over 90 mins)

-Are you streaming via one of the Apps or services within your TV box rather than live TV?

Please let us know and we can then get this raised to investigate further. Thank you for your patience in the meantime! 🌞 All the best.

Molly

This happens when I watch football on TNT Sports. It is the only channel I view using the Virgin TV Go app on my Windows laptop

Thanks for coming back to us petersladdie, which TV box, do you currently have with us?

Kind Regards,

I get this too, it’s very frustrating as if I’m out my home and I plug my Mac into a large TV or monitor, your watching a game on TNT or Viaplay around an hour later it displays this

I mean, it’s about an hour in, course we’re still watching 🤣

it’s not the box - it’s virgin Media Go

This is a very annoying feature when watching TNT Sport on VM Go app. Please remove or at least give the option to disable. Of course I'm still watching the sports programme I chose to watch and have to find the mouse to click the message for every football/cricket match I watch!

It's happened on ITV1 too, watching the FA Cup today between West Brom v Wolves and that stupid nag popped up but I wasn't in the room and came back to find the TV Guide showing as it had kicked me out for not clicking 'Keep Watching', I shouldn't have to click anything to watch I channel i've chosen to watch, absolutely unacceptable!

No wonder Virgin are the most complained about Telecoms company!!

Netflix do this. It's to save on wasted bandwidth.

Wasted bandwidth? I'm paying for the bandwidth by subscribing to watch programs so why I should I be nagged to see if i'm 'wasting bandwidth' by watching the programs i'm paying for?

So why does this not happen when using TVGO to watch Eurosport or when watching via iPlayer or Sky Sports then as the bandwidth is still being used by the same broadband connection but they don't nag to see if you're still watching?

What if you couldn't watch something because someone else left their stream running and went out?

Are you trying to say that because someone is paying for something they are entitled to compromise someone else paying for the same service?
