TNT sport price query

Hi

I just added TNT sports which showed as only £5 extra per month (£18 a month with a £13 discount) but now added, the email confirmation says it is £16.20 per month?

Has anyone else had this happen? I don't fancy paying that much for it.

Thanks,

This thread encapsulates what an abominable company Virgin media is.

Hundreds, if not thousands of customers will have signed up to an offer of which there is photographic evidence, but the company not only refuses to honour it, but the 'customer service' teams either have no power to help or are specifically instructed not to. Having had the displeasure of dealing with them over the years I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

I was seriously considering giving virgin my TV business, but stories like this remind me why I have carefully avoided doing so since having to take their broadband a few years ago.

Hi @jlbj1994,

What did the team advise on the back of your complaint?

I managed to get this refunded and £20 compensation,

The arrogance of the forum team on this subject is just astounding.

My bill has been generated at the full price and yet they are simply ignoring the fact that hundreds if not thousands of customers are in the same situation.

Their silence speaks volumes.

they said my bill wouldn’t be higher than normal. I’ve just had my bill and i’ve been charged the full amount and not the £5 the offer said. please can you help resolve this? thanks

Hi all,

Thanks for making us aware of this issue which we’ve been working to fix.

During a recent Champions League football match, we promoted an offer for TNT Sports at £5 a month for Stream customers. Unfortunately, we have identified an issue where customers were incorrectly overcharged for their TNT Sports subscription through Stream.

We’ll be sending a text message out shortly to inform all affected customers, and any credits will be applied to ensure all is corrected and customers do not need to take any further action.

We’re sorry that this has occurred, and we appreciate your patience on this matter.

Wow - 3 weeks to answer this and many billed incorrectly.
Can you confirm that the £5 a month will be honoured for the full 18 months as per the original offer?

thank you. Can you confirm if the credit will be for the full 18 months?

i have since cancelled TNT sports as i did not want to pay the £16 a month. Can i add it again at the agreed £5 a month?

thanks

Can I just take a moment to thank the mods for sorting this. There was either clearly a pricing error or billing issue. On my bill there is now a reoccurring perm discount of £11.20. So TNT does show as £16.20 but the net extra cost of £5.00. For those of you that cancelled, I can’t imagine VM will now permit you to add TNT sports at net cost of £5. I think this was a pricing mistake, that some customers have been able to take advantage of. I would imagine that VM are making a loss on selling TNT for £5. The wholesale price being charged from TNT to VM is surely more than this. Sky are charging minimum of £27 for TNT

Hi all,

As mentioned in the earlier post, if you have been impacted by the issue then you will have received communication from us recently to inform you of the situation and that action has already been taken to resolve this.

Thanks,
