Can I get a stream box without a new contract?

I just called expecting to be able to just add a stream box for £35 activation, without changing contract. Is that not possible?

After asking all sorts of irrelevant questions (how many people in household, what do you use connection for etc.), and also trying to sell me a full TV package, they then proceeded to assume I was asking for a new 18 month contract. When I said I never asked for that, they got shirty and just said that's how they do it.

It would be much simpler if they just made that clear up front - it really felt like high pressure sales.

The Stream services are not contractual, to cancel the Stream services if you did wish to do so, would be a 30 days notice period.
But please note that Stream services are only with VM broadband services, so if you do decide to remove it, you will need to query about the broadband and the tarrif you have with it.
