Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
I recently set up some security settings in my Virgin Media Broadband account to prevent my son watching nonsense on YouTube. The settings included the ability to block sites by URL and to block by category. One of the categories is 'Chat Rooms'.
I found that having this setting enabled prevented me from connecting to my work MS Teams account. However, I was still able to connect to websites such as Reddit, which is far more dangerous for a child to access that Teams. However, it did block NSFW posts.
I also noticed Youtube.com was not blocked even though it was in the block list.
Is there a reason why MS Teams would be considered as a 'Chat Room'? This needs to be fixed IMO.

Hi Miakatt,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear there has been some inconsistency's. When using the general blocking, it would depend on what the site is listed as. As MS Teams is a form of chat, this would be classed as such and therefore blocked. You can make rules and exceptions to block or allow certain sites though and you can do this by logging in to My VM here.
This page will help you to choose your settings so you can personalise them to allow and block any sites you want, over and above the standard filters.
Keep us posting on how you get on and if you need anything else, you know where we are.
Thanks,
