Hi, I have just received my vigina media broadband and I can’t find a virgin socket. I can only find this which has a small green lead. Any suggestions?

Can't see too much from your photo but that is a fibre optic connection. You might need some internal equipment to convert it to a coax cable connection. A recent example is below

If you have a Hub 5x, that has a fibre connector but there seems little connector length available in your photo to plug into a suitable hub.

What version of hub do you have?

What connections and cables have you been sent to connect with?

You are likely to need a technician visit as your photo looks like the installation might be incomplete.

Thanks for your reply!
Inside the box is more green wire so it can extend. I have Hub3 and I’ve been sent splitter or broadband wire, Ethernet cable, broadband wire, high speed Ethernet HDMI cable.

How do I book a technician to come out?

What is the item out of shot to the left hand side of your photo?

Anything like this device?

So that is the media converter which changes the fibre optic cable to a coaxial connection for the hub.

Won't see your image until moderated.

Is the blue media converter powered up with any lights on?

There are two lights on OPT IN (red light) and PWR (green light) the OPT OUT light is not lit up.

The green fibre optic plug hanging down should connect to the green OPT IN/OUT socket on the media converter.

Handle the fibre cable very carefully. There should be a gentle sweeping bend on the fibre cable into the media converter. You will need to let out some more slack on the fibre cable to do this.

When connected, the OPT IN light should turn green.

I have done that and the light is now green. Do I plug the broadband into it now?
