Hi,
I've recently purchased Fibre broadband and was sent a Hub 5 router to install myself. The previous owner of my property had Virgin installed back in 2019/2020. The existing wall box/cable aren't able to be removed, so I'm unable to attach the new cable that came with the router.
The inside of the box says Technetix? Which wasn't one of the 3 options that they said should be on the box (NTL, Telenet, Virgin)
Would using the older cable make a difference to the speed that I'd get? My package is M500 broadband only.

Coaxial cable does not deteriorate inside a property, so the 2020 produced RG59 cable you have there is fine. My cabling is original from 1993 & is still as good as the day it was put in. The Technetix box is a safety isolator & should not be removed. Just screw the other end of the RG59 cable into the back of the hub.
