Removing Cable

Hello, I'm looking to have a virgin cable removed from the front of my house. I have recently bought the house and have not gone with Virgin. It's inside a green tube that goes into my garden and the other end goes into a grey box at my front door. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

This is a common request. You can ask VM to remove it, but they will be reluctant to do so in case a future resident might want their service and they would have to replace it.

You will probably find it easiest just to cut the harmless cable where it enters your property and dump the lot in a bin.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Hi polysics,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We would only be able to arrange an appointment if there is a health and safety risk. We would not be able to remove the cable however if there is a health and safety issue, someone can come out to make things safe.

As the cables are not live, if you no longer want them, you can cut these yourself however should you wish to have Virgin Media services in future, there may be a delay in your installation.

If you feel there is a health and safety risk, please pop some pictures here and we can pass this on the relevant teams for you.

Many thanks,
