Regarding unreturned Broadband Kit (Arris Hub 3)

I was a loyal VM customer for more than 10 years. Recently, I received some emails regarding the return of the Broadband Router.

First one dated 27/11/2023 with a payment date 17/12/2023. The second one dated 30/11/2023 with payment date: NOW. Not sure how to read that.

I previously stated when I requested to cancel the services, I have no forwarding address in the UK. I was evicted from the flat on 23/10/2023, so the return label was not delivered to me.

I became homeless and currently live abroad. I recycled the router on the 25/11/2023.

As I am homeless with no income (on benefits) can I have this payment cancelled? I already recycled the kit as I had no chance to sent it back.

I am a vulnerable person with no income atm.

Please advise me further.

I bit of update.

The case was settled in December 2023 with Forum Team Manager. The fee meant to be waived as I recycled the Kit and moved out of the property before the contract ended.

Today, 2024/01/19 I received the email, text from the VM equipment collections team that they 'will be popping over today to pick up our kit from you' at the old address.

I replied ASAIC, but the poor man drove there anyway, still called me saying that he is going to collect the kit in 10 minutes.

I am not living there for 3 months, VM came to somebody else's home to collect the kit that is long ago recycled and case was settled with Forum Team Manager.

What a waste of everybody's time and resources that is?

Please let me understand the logic behind this in the comments.

Another, emails and texts received on 30 Jan 2024.

Morning: 'We're collecting our kit from you today. One of our equipment collections team will be popping over today to pick up our kit from you'

Evening: 'We're sorry about this, but unfortunately we won't be able to pick up our kit from you today. We’ll be in touch very soon to arrange an alternative date with you.'

Madness!
