Some Steam questions regarding video quality
Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask if the menus of the Stream box are supposed to look pixelated? I have a 4K TV, and the input identifies as "Horizon4" with 4K resolution, but I can clearly see the fuzziness when going through the menus. It's very apparent.
The box is plugged into a 4K-capable HDMI port using the provided HDMI cable, connected via Wi-Fi (the connection is solid and stable).
In the settings menu where you can change the HDMI resolution, the software appears broken and there are no options to choose from.
The box was previously temporarily connected to an FHD TV and this setting allowed me to choose 1080p. I reset the Stream box before swapping TVs.
Any ideas what is going on?
Thank you.

I used the reset option within the settings menu.
And no, as we don't have the router anywhere near the TV. That wouldn't be possible.
Hi again NSX05
Thanks for the update.
The menus on the Stream (Flex) and TV360 boxes follow the resolution of the actual program being screened, so if it's a 4K program then the menus will show in 4K format, accessing the menus when watching a 1080i program will show the menus in 1080i format etc The actual menu slates though are in 1080 format so will appear 'fuzzy' when upscaled.
Normally the Settings > Audio & Video > HDMI resolution option can be used to switch between Automatic, 4K, 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 576p with options to confirm the resolution change.
I wasn't aware that there is now a reset option within the settings menu now. Please can you advise where it is, or include a screenshot to show it. We can then help other users going forward by letting them know where to find this.
Previously to perform either a hard or soft reset you had to use the following method.
Unplug the USB from the back of the box and then hold the power button on the front of the box while plugging the USB back in. (Keep hold of the power button while doing this) Keep holding the power button in when the Welcome screen appears for 5 seconds and then let go.
A menu will appear. Now tap the power button to select which reset option (hard or soft) you prefer. I would always suggest trying the soft reset option first, and if that fails then try the hard reset. Then hold the power button again for 5 seconds on the one selected option to reset it.
