Recontract and Cancel

Just tried this and it still works. They tried increasing my 1Gig only internet to £49.60 which is a rip off. They didn't offer a new deal and have been with them for 8 years.

So I made sure to create a new contract, not just a downgrade. Called up a day later to cancel and have disconnected 30 days later with no fee

Not sure I fully understand, but if you cancel your contract and immediately start a new cheaper one in the same name and address they don't like it. It usually means a 90 day delay.

But well done if you've got what you needed.
