New build has virgin media sockets but online says not in my area?

Im moving into a new build home in 2 days and there is a virgin box outside and sockets in various rooms. The developer said virgin media was installed and ready to go. However when i search online for deals it says its not in my area. ive been trying to talk to someone on the live chat whatsapp thing but its so awful and frustrating. My postcode is dh3 1bf.

It may not be activated in the area yet.  A VM person will respond here soon.

Check if any of your new neighbours have connectivity.
