Having a install for the 1st time

Hi I'm thing about have virgin media but we live in a terrace with only 5 house and a shared path and a back lane that's shared would the shared path need to be dug up to have it installed

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our community. Also glad to hear you are thinking of joining us.

Regarding the installation. It's a tricky one if the cable route is across a shared pathway. We would need permission from the other residents if any digging is required.

Have you checked to see if there are any access points in the pavement or front of the property. Normally is a round or triangular plastic cap fitted on the ground. 

You could also check for any brown boxes on the front of the properties to see if we've installed services already.

You can also check your address here tri see if it's on our network.

The best thing to do is let me send you a private message to check the property. 

If you can check your logo at the top right of your screen that would be great.

You can post some photos. Sometimes it's possible to route the cable along a boundary fence or wall, thus bypassing a driveway or path.
