Hi all, not sure if I’ve got the correct wall socket/ cable set up for virgin media or whether I need to call an engineer out? Any advice would be appreciated!

Those cables look like Sky and TV aerial ones.

Call the pre-installs team on 0800 052 1734 8AM- 9PM Monday - Friday or 8AM-6PM Saturday and Sunday

The cable with the white plastic tube (containing an inline isolator) is a VM cable. It also appears to have another component on the end of it (maybe an attenuator).

If you are trying to set up a 'Quick Start' kit, connect that cable by screwing the attenuator (?) component direct onto the hub's coaxial connector.

If you want a proper wall box fitting, call as per number above.

Ah yes, it is labelled attenuator! But both components seem to have the same connection type, do I need a coupler?

Won't see your pic until moderated.

Screw the attenuator to the hub first of all. Then attach the cable with the white tube to the attenuator. It just needs to be hand tight. Don't over tighten it and avoid crossing the threads when attaching.

The cable is one of those push on types from the photo (which you couldn't see at time of your post). It's been supplied from a self-install kit. If you are on the GIG1 service, that attenuator is no good due to frequency range and would need to be changed for an "equalizer". This operates differently in that it attenuates signal range which is usually the strongest and leaves the weaker signal range untouched (like signal range used for DocSIS 3.1). Using an old attenuator will give you a reduced sync rate at 1130mbps instead of 1230mbps and can cause more errors on the DocSIS 3.1 channels.
