Hi…… virgin have run fibre down my road (the road was dug over a year ago), houses 5 doors down can order fibre, yet my address says I can not. I called virgin, but they just did a system check and said no. Any other avenues I can try?
openreach have our postcode down for 2025 or 26.

It would be too expensive for VM to dig up so much length of road to connect you. They have a fixed budget for each new installation and will not spend more than they will get back in charges from the customer.
In many cases they may have made enough connections to fill up their local network capacity, but if the other address you checked could have a connection this doesn't apply here.
Your other option is to check what speeds you can get with a mobile 4g or 5g service until Openreach get to you. EE or 3 are usually the best options.

They have dug the road up to and past my house already, so no ore digging required 😞

Then another reason may apply. Have you asked the sales office to check the location?

yes, they just say I have to wait for it to be installed....... they just follow the system says 'no' approach. I have told them the infastructure is in place.
I asked the team that put the pipes in at the time and they said it would be available in a couple of weeks (that was 1 year ago)
