I need my solar inverter on a LAN to see my new Virgin router.
So I tried to change the SSID and Password on the Virgin Router settings. But my old 3 mobile network router only has a 8 characters x4 u/c and x4 numerals password and Virgin wants x10 characters, x1 u/c, x1 l/c, x1 numerals. So will not accept it.
I have already tried changing the LAN with no joy, and have already thrown away my old 3 router.
Is their another solution, will Virgin Tech Support have a fix, or do I have to throw away my Virgin contract and go elsewhere?
Thank you

Just get a cheap N300 WiFi extender and connect the inverter to that. These older types shouldn’t have as strict a password policy.

Read the manual for you solar inverter, you should be able to reset to its shipped state and then join the new VM network SSID.
