Hi, I recently moved into a maisonette that previously used virgin, I don’t use virgin but it seems whoever has been here previously has but there have been a number of unnecessary wires connected. There are only 2 properties in this building so the need for all the wires is unnecessary. There is also a green tube at the front of the property that has not been fully buried and is a trip hazard. Could this please be fully buried and the disconnected wires removed. Thank you

If you think you have a H&S problem with the old cable, post up a photo of the problem. VM does occasionally remove cables causing a H&S issue but otherwise the usual reply on here is that they don't/won't remove old cabling.
Does the other property in the building use VM? If so their cables may be among the underground cables.
One of the VM forum team will reply here within a few days.

Can you post some pictures to help identify what these are? Will you be using a broadband connection?

Hi @FAD1963
Welcome to the community forums
Sorry to hear of your concerns with the wiring a trip hazard from the underground cable.
Are you able to post some images and we can raise this further with the field team if needed.
If there are other customers service cables in there the team can rebury the cables rather than disconnect them if needed.

Hi FAD1963 👋
Welcome to the community! Thank you for posting.
Sorry to hear these concerns about external cabling causing a potential trip hazard. We will be able to arrange an appointment to get this re-buried and that there are no safety issues, however we do not remove external infrastructure such as the brown box.
We will need to send you a PM to confirm a few details (such as the location the works need to take place). I will do this for you now - you can find the PM in the top right corner of the page in your Inbox. 📩 We can then return to this public thread with another update when possible. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!
Wishing you all the best. 🌞
