Hi,
Our WiFi works fine with laptop,fire tablets. Problem is when we all use our iPhones it’s rubbish. On WhatsApp’s it’s always ‘connecting’ !
Always end up swapping to use data (Vodafone) even though it’s not the greatest but it’s still better than virgin wifi.
Why is this happening please help.

I certainly don't have any issues using our home WiFi with any of our Android phones, but our Hub is in modem mode and I have my own third party router.
A few months back, neighbours asked us which broadband provider we were with because they had big problems with theirs - Virgin. The upshot of much playing around was they now also have their own router and it's solved all their issues.
So you may have two variables here.

So it is just the iPhones that are rubbish at connecting to the VM Hub !
Settings to discourage mobiles from dropping Wi-Fi and reverting to the GSM mobile data.

Hi,
Not only WhatsApp, it’s also when making video calls, browsing Facebook,searching on Google….also happens with Android mobiles as well…
Don’t have any problems connecting to WiFi virgin at wife’s sisters house…it works perfectly…Ive also checked their router settings and there exactly same settings as ours!
Im thinking it might be our router itself…apparently its meant to have a solid white light when up and running…ours has a orange/red colour…that’s even after a reset etc..

Hi,
Ive actually got an engineer booked in tomorrow to check the router. It definitely is not a white solid colour but a orange/reddish colour.
Hopefully this might be the issue causing the WiFi mobile connectivity .( I’ll be amazed if it is).
If the router is replaced and I still have the same problem, then I would consider buying a router and sticking virgin router into modem mode.
Then if that doesn’t work I’ll give up living lol.

Hi,
So engineer been, he’s replaced Hub 3 with Hub 5 👍..
I was still having issues,he’s run some checks and unbelievably my parental control was on in my account settings!!! causing this issue on our mobiles!!!!
I’ve switched it off and all is well…unbelievable!
