Also having this exact issue as of today in the Bristol area. Virgin Media is showing no signs of issues (in the area)

same problem here, started this morning (24.06.2024), bs7. I have to use some sort of a vpn to access anything related to google (youtube, google docs, calendar, search, maps)

Tuning in

Went pillar to post for over an hour today on the phone, managed to finally reach someone useful, she advised issue is 'known' but there are no details on timelines for resolution and to check back in tomorrow.

Same here - been on calls since 8:30 this morning with varying degrees of frustration.

Is there an indication of a timescale? I was quoted up to 36 hours.  (that's in addition to the 8 hours I've spent trying to raise it as an issue with customer services/tech support.

same issue, Bristol

Are you still down Matt? at 4pm Gloucestershire came back online after most of the day being 95% down.

I ran many, MANY tests and spent 2 hours on one solid phone call to support (India?). Everyone was superb and friendly (100% for customer politeness VM!) but sadly I can only award 10% for actual skill. Nobody wanted to talk DNS (which was the problem) and only about rebooting hardware, checking cables, 3rd party routers and so on. The script was read to me six times until the very end, when the chap at least had the honesty to say "this needs escalating to IP techs" and issued me a case number.

My burning question is: If this was going on all day, which it was (my ping tests prove that) why did the remote customer support folks not get briefed? Give them a fighting chance VM to help customers...please.

Apologies, Gloucestershire is down AGAIN.

Returned shortly after...have registered for updates in my area (now showing a broadband issue...)

Still down for me too - Bristol - are Virgin Media going to be compensating for my wage lost today?
