Moved into property last week, it appears to be wired for virgin media (cable and service head inside).
Cabling externally is all exposed and clearly weathered and damaged. I have paid an additional fee for an engineer to attend to ensure any repairs can be undertaken.
The cable to the service head emanates from the pavement, approximately 8 meters away; but there isn't any evidence of a Virgin Media chambre in the pavement, the cable just appears out of the tarmac onto my property.
I want to excavate a shallow trench in the drive, will the visiting engineer run a new cable to the service head from the pavement? can I run a cable duct for them to use? how big? what will the engineer connect a new cable too if there is no access chambre in the pavement.
Thanks

Hi Leyland30,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
It's difficult to answer your questions without knowing exactly what is what. The best bet will be to have a chat with the engineer when they arrive. They can discuss all options available with you and you can come to an agreement on things.
If a further engineer visit is required, you won't be charged further for this.
Let us know how the visit goes by updating the Community here 😊
Thanks,

The engineer attended last week. Transpires the cable to my house, and every other; is a dedicated one run under the pavement all the way from the VM box at the end of the road. The absence of VM mini manhole in the pavement adjacent my property isn’t and issue, there is no joint the length of the cable.
The engineer traced the route of the cable on my property (between some paving flags) and made me as much slack as he was able to facilitate burying under my new drive. He couldn’t joint the cable to make it longer and said VM would have to replace the entire thing back to the box to do that. Sounded a bit BSey to me but there you go.
All up and running now.
