Network congestion at peak times, online gaming a bad experience!

I switched over to virgin media gig1 hoping this would fix the problem I have had for the past 4/5 years. I’m still receiving my exact speeds as promised but unfortunately most of the time If not all the time my online gaming is so unplayable, I play call of duty competitive at a high level and it really hinders my gameplay:(

Just to add I’ve tried my friends setups at my house and it’s still the same, this is not an isolated issue on my console. My setup works smooth at other homes (on slower speeds too) really hope I can get to the bottom of this and enjoy gaming again:)

I’ve called virgin media 7 times and im still stuck where i was when I first took the contract. Hellllppppp meeee pleaseeeee

Unfortunately, your post explains nothing to people trying to assist.

Connection type (if it's 'competitive gaming', it better be ethernet)? What hub? What testing have you done to narrow down the issue? Engineer booked? What does "tried my friends setups at my house" mean?
