Mesh or Wifi Pods

Vim1965
Tuning in

The story so far

Had a Hub 3 using with a Tenda MW6.

Hub went down and after spending best part of Sunday, VM swapped out on Monday with a Hub 5. Could not fault the speed of arranging the engineer and the swap.

At the moment have setup the mesh BUT previously VM have sent me 3 WiFi pods. These were meant to be used Hub 3.

So my question is should I stick with the Tenda mesh or switch over to the pods?

Yours comments please

You could use both. Put the Tenda into bridge mode and you can then use it with the hub in router mode. With networking it’s always best to experiment.

Thank you for replying

I think I will try out the pods first.

I hope this works, I need to take the Hub out of modem mode, change the Hub 5 network/password to my mesh network/password, setup one pod at a time and put it into location. Repeat for all three pods and see what happens.

Timing this is going to be crucial as probably need to be done on a Saturday when the WFH gang are not working.

Will report back when done.
