Hub flashing red

My hub 4 suddenly started flashing red. Followed all instructions, checked cables, connections, rebooted. I have nothing. No phone, internet, tv. Says there is no problem in my area. Can anyone tell me what a flashing red light is? Box is not overheating and is well ventilated l.

I’d just like to add that my experience with virgin media for the last 12 months, has been nothing short of terrible. Constant loss of signal, connection problems galore

The network is down, in your local area, I've had it for 2 days now, Virgin customer service is non existant I understand that if it is off for more than a certain period of time you can claim £8.60 a day compensation,  personally be like me and get another ISP!
