I believe it's due to worn out LEDs. The Hub3s are now coming up to almost 15 years old. They used cheap RGB LEDs to create white light, the separate LEDs deteriorate at different paces. I believe the blue LED begins to dim first so the colour balance goes off and white starts to appear yellow.
The LED is actually a good indicator of how many hours a Hub3 has been powered on. If it's brilliant white, you know it's not been used much. If it's yellow/orange you know it's a well used, old customer return.

If you are seeing a solid light then it means everything is okay. This is what you’ll see when the Hub’s working normally.
