    Hi Kingcartwright,

Thank you for coming back to us and keeping the thread updated. Glad to hear that you've been able to speak to one of our team members and have a Hub 5 arranged to be sent out.

We do have limited stock on them at the moment, but I'm glad that you've been able to have this arranged. 🙂

If you come across any issues, please let us know, we're here to help and investigate further if needed.

    Thank you. 🙂

Hub5's are in short supply at the moment. That said... as a new 1GB customer you should have received one.

If not you can cancel the contract within 14 days and incur no costs whatsoever.

Or.... live with the Hub4 - unless you really want/need the 2.5GB port and the wifi6 of the Hub5 🙂

I’ve been on 1GB since last March and yet to be even offered a hub 5!

Nor have any existing Hub4 users.

  • Hi Kingcartwright,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't had a hub 5.

Have you been able to speak with the team regarding the missing hub?

      Tuning in

      Sorry for going on...

I spoke to the technical team who said they ordered me one for delivery on 26/01/23 that day came and went nothing arrived. Got back in touch with the technical team who apologised and said no order had been placed. They then said there was no hub 5's in stock and assured me that the Hub 4 would give me the same speeds as hub 5. I then explained that I don't get full speeds on the hub 4 and the hub 5 would give me much greater speeds as it has wifi 6 and 2.5gbps ethernet port. I was then transferred to someone who quickly ordered me a hub 5 which came today.

Must say works like a charm and much improved wifi speeds. Even on my phone in the same place Hub 4 400bmps vs Hub 5 750mbps.

    On our wavelength

How on Earth do you get a Hub 5? I've asked on whatsapp and on the phone, I signed up on the old "get a Hub5" page, order was accepted then cancelled.

  • From Express newspaper November 2021.

Speaking about the announcement of the Hub 5, Virgin Media O2 Chief Operating Officer Jeff Dodds said: “At Virgin Media O2 we don’t stand still and are constantly working to give our customers the latest and most innovative technology to suit their digital needs now and in the future. We are excited to give our existing customers first access to the Hub 5, powered by WiFi 6 technology, which will provide even faster WiFi speeds and help unleash the full potential of new devices from next-gen games consoles to the newest smartphones in their homes.”

I’ve had a Hub3 for years and no indication from Virginmedia about upgrading. Happy to take your money for a sub-standard router.
