There have been no reports of DOCSIS areas being live on XGS-PON. I don’t believe it will be by users request, more likely by request to users by VM or most likely all users converted so the old kit can be decommissioned.

Those “new” fibre cabs were installed in our area about 2 years ago. Have we had any word from VM about migration to fibre? The answer is a resounding no.

Yup January 2024 here. In fairness VM has been installing the new cabinets at an incredible pace all year around Cardiff.
