This has also happened to me, the booster sent a huge spark and then an acrid burning smell, luckily I was there and plugged it out, very real fire hazard, I cannot get Virgin to send me a replacement, I reported this to them when it happened a couple of weeks ago over the phone and they wanted to charge me for a replacement even though this is due to obviously faulty equipment which is not fit for purpose. I've searched online and can see this has been reported by other virgin members multiple times, I cannot get a good signal downstairs now, I just want a replacement, is there any help from Virgin available?
