Can't register Virgin Media account

When trying to register for My Virgin Media, I cannot get past the create a password stage. I get the error "Sorry, there was a problem registering that password. Please choose a different one."

I have tried different browsers and deivces, and tried changing the email and password used to log in numerous time, but still can't register. Can someone please advise me on the next steps?

I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having trying to create your online account. Have you tried to use a password that is classed as strong, when trying to create your account?

Have you tried to register your account using a different device or browser?

i tried all of the above that mentioned. I also tried a short password without any special characters - still doesn’t work

Hi- Same problem here.

Got in contact with an agent a few days ago who said this would be resolved in 72 hours. Still cannot get past the 'Sorry, there was a problem registering that password. Please choose a different one.'.

I've tried multiple browsers, around 40 different passwords, cleared all cookies, caches and browsing data, incognito tabs. Still nothing.

Can anyone on this thread confirm whether their registration has actually been resolved?

same problem here. "Sorry, there was a problem registering that password. Please choose a different one."

I've spoken with an agent and said (same lie) that it will take 72h to fix. 4 days later the problem is still on. Lucky we are in the 14days cooling period so we will cancel the contract.
