Sorry to hear you've not been able to set up your My Virgin Media online account.
Please ensure that you have followed the full password criteria which can be found below;
- Be between 8-64 characters.
- Must start with a letter.
- Contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter.
- Contain at least one number.
- Special characters are allowed but not required (e.g. ! # % & @).
- Cannot contain easy to guess words, usernames, or previously used passwords.

Hi Carley,
As stated, I've tried a number of different passwords, all meeting the current criteria, and some that met the old criteria too (as I read this may work). I've also tried a number of emails from multiple providers, and different browsers and devices.
I am still getting the same error of "Sorry, there was a problem registering that password. Please choose a different one."

We're sorry to hear you're having this error when trying to register for My Virgin Media. This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
I have sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you are on a mobile/tablet device then instead click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊

Hi Kath,
I am having the same problem where I cannot sign up, I have checked the password meets the criteria and meets all the requirements however every time I try to make a password it just refreshes the page and doesn’t let me use any password, I have tried different devices and browsers and still no luck, I have also tried incognito and it does the same thing where I put in my password and click confirm to move forward and it just refreshes the page, if there anything I can do?

I seem to have exactly the same issue as the original poster. Very disappointing that this is still a problem after 18 months. Will have to cancel our contract if unable to log in to manage account and claim rewards.
Is this able to be resolved?

In order to look into this for you, we'll send you a private message on here. Look out for the envelope in the top right-hand corner.
If you're on a portable device with a smaller screen, click on the icon in the top right-hand corner and select "messages" from the additional menu options.
