cancel virgin but keep o2

Hi just a query if I cancel my virgin completely will my o2 contract still be active its under a volt contract at present

Yes the O2 is a separate contract. If you mean do you keep double data (if not on unlimited data already) then yes until you change the tariff BUT you might get the extra roaming taken off as that what happened when I cancelled VM, but still had a couple of months left on O2 before I gave them the boot in favour of EE MVNO called 1pmobile who I have been happy with and get fabulous uncapped data speeds on all frequency bands with VoWiFi and HD Voice and roaming. The O2 app labels you as not eligible for VOLT after termination of VM but I still had the double data just not the extra worldwide outside EU roaming.

Welcome back to the community forums 

Sorry to hear that you're thinking of cancelling with us. If you chose to cancel your Virgin Media service then this doesn't cancel your O2 SIM as this is a separate contract, but what it will do is remove any relevant discounts/boosts gained from the Volt benefits, such as the data boost, from your O2 service as this is only available for customer with both an active Virgin Media and O2 service.

"such as the data boost" - are you sure? I kept mine when I left recently, and the contract says you do keep data boost. If you change the tariff then sure it reverts then.
