I have had virgin media for over 10 years in two different properties and have now been hacked. I paid my last bill in July and went to check my account a couple of days ago and can no longer gain access. i thought maybe I had forgotten the password (unlikely as i use my phone and it auto fills) so i try to reset it. I enter my email and never recieve the email to reste.
I have then tried to recover my email and after entering all of my detils, account number and area ref, it tells me they are linked to an aol email. I have been trying to talk to someone for 2 days, first call I was hung up on after 15 minutes, when i finally got through to someone via Whattsapp all i was told was this;
Ok I would request you to perform virus scans on all home devices and change your VM password to something new and unique and secure. To unlock the mail box I would request you to go to account settings and go to Virgin media mail app settings and click on generate new password and this will automatically unlock your mailbox and also please note: If you have used the same password for multiple sites for different logins, we strongly advise you to change that too.
I can't change my password if i can't log in! Please help!

I am having the same issue, when i try to recover my eamil it tells me my account number and area code belong to an aol.com account (I have never had an aol account). I have been trying to talk to someone for the last 2 days and when i did get through to someone they told me to just reset my passwords..... Very unhelpful as i cant even gain access if my email isn't linked anymore.
