After many years with Virgin and before them with NTL my contract is once again up for renewal so I keep receiving e mails asking to to get a new contract at a special offer however when I try the link I receive the message sorry we cannot find the page I’m looking for

You might get somewhere if you speak to the team on WhatsApp by logging into your online account via a mobile handset and there will be a link to speak to VM by Whats App (the number is 0730 532 71120 ) - you can use the same number for their other social media platforms( TwitX Facebk, etc) too - so try them all.
But you really need to do this by calling in on the usual CS number and follow the prompts for "Thinking of leaving" and then see Andrew’s comments in message 6 of this thread-

This is reported so often that one can only assume it's a deliberate policy by VM. When customers follow it up they find it's been replaced by a less attractive deal.

Guess what, I have just received yet another email asking me to renew my contract, one of many the same emails, and press the offer to direct me to a page which states Unable to find page.
THIS IS A VERY BAD JOKE ON BEHALF OF VIRGIN MEDIA
