Briefly, after many years with VM Broadband, moved 3 months ago, was assured the outstanding contract balance of 6 months would be transferred to new address.

After moving received a new contract for additional 18 months in the post but lose my existing discount at end of original contract date.

Raised complaint with VM whose response was they insist I have to enter a new 18 month contract because I moved.

Tried again today and spent 2 hours on phone to VM, passed from dept to dept and told a different story by each one, as per usual with VM but finally told my original contract would be honoured to end May 2024.

Just received emailed saying they will not honour that promise and attached copy my 'new' contract which says I have to have a new contract which will add 18 months to my original one.

Simple question, is there any option now other than taking the Ombudsman route to get VM to give me what was promised when I moved.

Annoying as simply want to be free to negotiate a new deal in May this year and not be forced to accept an extra 18 months from May as VM tell me I will be charged an extra £16 a month (broadband only) from May this year.

Not the best way to treat someone who has been a customer for more than 12 years.

Suggestions please.
