I recently cancelled my contract (internet+phone) due to the price, but I then received an email with a decent offer to ask me to stay. I signed up and received an email confirming my order, but haven't had anything else. The confirmation on the webpage said it can take 48 hours to show on my account, but it's now been 4 days.
Today I received the original email again, with the same offer. I don't want to accidentally sign up twice, but I'm also concerned that my original order hasn't gone through. Is there a way to check the status of the order? I've attached the email confirming that it was received.

This sounds familiar. You may find as others have that this offer is no longer available and they offer you something else.

Hi @Bex13
Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.
The offers can take 10 working days to apply, that's a maximum timescale.
I'll send you a PM though to assist further.

I've now had my new contract through, and it's for a different package and price that I signed up for. The email asked me to check it was ok, which is obviously isn't. There was no explanation of why it was a different package. I clicked the link to contact them and it took me to an email, but I got a bounce back as the email isn't in use. Which team do I need to contact to query this please?

Sorry for laughing at your situation as it's frustrating, but it's exactly as "jpeg1" poster wrote would happen in terms of non-existent offer! 🙂

It's happened before.
This almost sounds like a deliberate way to trap people into paying more than they wanted. But Virginmedia wouldn't be so underhand. Would they?
