How long to process upgrade and duplicate order

Posting here as web chat didn't provide much clarity.  I've been offered an upgrade in my account area that I have accepted.  

Account is still offering an upgrade even though I accepted and I've also got two orders.

So how long for it to be processed and will I get charged twice?

Thanks for posting, and sorry for any confusion with your order.

If you've done this online it can take up to 10 days to complete, so we would advise to wait.

10 days!  Blimey, Virgin still using pen and paper..  Why so long?

Online chat team said I wouldn't be able to get it as new customer only, but I kept saying it's in my portal.

If it's a deal from the website, this would be a new customer only deal. If it's a personal deal via your My Virgin Media account, this can take some time to update on the system.

It's a personal deal via your My Virgin Media account, why does it take so long?  Also why do the online chat staff post incorrection information in the chat and so on.
