Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I would like an advise. My broad band was.due to be installed on 15/02/2024 and today is still not installed, I payed £475 in renting internet. I would like to cancel the contract with Virgin Media and for them to pay the money I spent for renting internet. When I discussed with VM CS I was told I need to pay £725.25   cancelation fee.

Can someone help me with an advise please.

They have it the wrong way around. It is you who would be entitled to compensation for delayed installation at around £6 per day. See https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/costs-and-billing/automat...

When you signed up to VM, did you sign up for a 'Quick Start' kit (where VM sends you the equipment and you are supposed to plug it in to an existing VM cable connection)? Or did you sign up for an installation via a VM technician to come and do the installation?

If it was meant to be an installation with a VM technician (which it sounds like you are describing) why did the installation not happen?
