Long story short I want to cancel. I have already arranged for FTTP to be installed and once it is I want to cancel virgin.
I am out of contract and would like to do it in writing. What is the best address to write to please? I will give them 30 days notice then cancel DD.
Any other advice please?
Thanks

If you simply wish to cancel, with no further negotiation or discussion with VM …
You can cancel your services by post as per info below
https://www.virginmedia.com/help/cancel-virgin-media
You can send your leaving request by post to:
Virgin Media, Sunderland, SR43 4AA
Use a first-class, signed-for delivery service. This will give you a date/time of delivery when you gave VM your 30 days’ notice to cancel. Also keep a record of the tracking number.
If your disconnection happens during a minimum term period VM may charge you early disconnection fees.
Best leave your DD in place until you have fully finished all dealings with VM. You are billed as per normal right up until you are disconnected. Once disconnected you should get a final bill showing the balance on the account. If you cancel the DD before everything is concluded (inc. return of any equipment), and if VM still thinks a DD payment is due, you may run into problems with VM's debt recovery processes.

Great thank you. I presume that as I am out of contact there cannot be any minimum term which is applicable any more?

If you have completed your minimum term period you just need to give the 30 days notice to cancel and no early disconnection fees would apply.
