Hi, Apologies if in the wrong board but I don't post very often.
Firstly, My contract is ending this month and I've been looking online for an actual bill breakdown to see what I'm paying for and what each component actually costs but, the only breakdown I can find is a list of the components with a total at the bottom. Is there an actual proper bill breakdown somewhere that I'm missing?
Secondly, Why am I still paying for a phone line rental since the phone line is now connected directly to the router and using the same cable as the broadband?
I only have basic phone, broadband and TV packages and was paying £58 a month but will go up to £75 at the end of the contract. I've been offered a renew price online for £66 which I will NOT be taking. I am seriously considering cancelling the TV & phone and just keeping the broadband but if I don't get a reasonable price will be leaving completely. We've been a loyal customer since around 1997 with Diamond Cable & NTL.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Don't think you will find a breakdown of package component prices in the way you want. The rules for the way package pricing is advertised were changed some time ago to avoid this split.
At present, the landline delivered via the hub is the same service that was offered in the past via the conventional telephone wall socket. It is just the method of delivery that has changed and pricing has not changed.
VM's 'bundling' approach to discounting services also mean that trying to work out individual costs for individual services is made more difficult.
VM will always try to encourage customers to take out a bundle of services by discounting prices for a package or services. Hence you might end up paying more with VM to take out broadband only than (say) broadband and landline.
If you really only want broadband only, look around at what your other options are at your location and find out the cost for those. Then go back to VM to try to get a price to compare against. If VM cannot come up with a competitive offering, then switch supplier.

A ‘phone line’ dome not refer to the physical wires, it is the phone circuit, by whatever means, phone ‘exchange’ equipment and use of a phone number. Nothings free.

Hi @SLI69
Welcome back to the Community Forums.
Sorry to hear of your concerns with your billing breakdown and line rental charges.
We can see that the community has kindly offered support and advice here already which answers your queries.
The breakdown available is what you see on your billing. it wouldn't include the cost of each as services and features may be included in a bundled price for all. Some discounts may be applied to the contract that changes the overall monthly price.
Landline line rental charges are currently included in our bundles and services that include landline. This is for the full use of the landline service, the operations of the landline service and the landline number.
Please let us know if you are having any further issues or have any questions at all. We'll be here to help on the Community Forums if needed

Thanks for all your replies. It's what I thought. I will have to do a bit of shopping around and decide whether it's worth staying with VM as I don't see the point in paying for something I rarely use. Thanks again.
