Today I had an online chat with an agent about the £5 payment handling charge which is clearly listed on my bill each month. It is an outrageous and unjustifiable charge. No other company charges me £5 just to pay by card and I was previously told that this scammy charge would no longer be applied to me.
Anyway, the Virgin Media agent seemed reluctant to admit the charge was there and eventually just told me it was the end of their shift and abandoned me.
Is anyone else here paying this crazy charge? It makes no sense. It absolutely does not cost that amount to process a payment and none of my other bills are like that. I am only on slow M125 internet with a phone line. There is no TV package at all and it still comes to £57.25! Then there is the ridiculous £5 payment handling charge on top of that!
