My area has recently been migrated from landline to IP telephony which seems to work well with one exception. My received calls report 10-20 daily calls from "no number". There is no call made (no ringing) and no message left, just a report that "no number" called and a time. OFCOM state it should be addressed to the provider and the Telephone preference service state they can do nothing with marketing or computer generated calls. This did not happen until switched to IP telephony and has been daily since (coincidentally - I think not). This appears to be a man-in-the-middle network attack and is therefore worrying (as well as filling my recent calls with rubbish). Virgin media say they cannot see these calls, yet their system records it on my recent calls log. Anyone else having this problem or have a resolution?

We have been receiving between 10 and 20 ghost calls every day for the last six months. Virgin media insist it is not a problem of their making, you want to try and convince my wife of that. She is now addicted to checking the phone at least ten time...
Is this still an issue for you after clearing your calls and performing a Hub restart (following this from Friday "Our Support Team have deployed a fix this morning, please restart your Hubs to allow the fix to take affect")?
There was a problem in my area with TV and Broadband first thing this morning so everything restarted when the fault was fixed. So far, no silent no number calls since, fingers crossed it continues that way!!
Last Friday (23rd June) the moderatos of this forum advised everyone to reboot their modem as a "Fix" had been discovered. If you read nearly every post since then, the "ghost" calls have been exorcised.
