Hello
I received notification recently that I would lose access to my virgin.net account that I've had for 25+ years, as I am not a Virgin Media customer. However, it is impossible for me to be a VM customer as they do not offer services in my area.
I'm hoping for some help as my entire life is on that email address and I was unable to move anything over in the period given as I was dealing with a family emergency. I've spoken to 4 or 5 separate customer service reps on the phone who have told me a variety of things, with one saying he'd be able to put a hold on the denial of access, which of course did not happen. The most recent piece of advice received from Virgin chat is that Talk Talk have taken over responsibility for the email addresses, which of course is an absurd claim and has me at my wits end with this.
I'm hoping a Virgin rep on here can help me with access, even for just a period of time so my son can help me with transferring everything that we need to to an alternative provider.

If you are now locked out of the mailbox, there are some suggestions below based on past topics
Occasionally I have seen some of the VM forum team offering to try to regain temporary access (as per VM response above) but this seems to be hit and miss if it is offered
A VM person should reply here within a few days.

Hi there @ljp56
Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the community forums, it's great to have you here.
I am so sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with your email and thank you to our community member goslow for their help here so far.
We are cancelling email addresses that are no longer attached to current and active services and we would not be able to reinstate an address that does not have an active account or us to move the address to. I am so sorry about this, but I can try and see if we can regain temporary access for you to move any emails etc across. I will pop a private message across so we can try, but I do need to advise that we cannot guarantee access will be able to be granted.
I will pop you a PM across now, please keep an eye out for the envelope at the top of your screen alerting you to a new message.
