virgin media email account unavailable

My email account @virginmedia.com has been unavailable since 1st May. Despite a number of interactions with 'customer service' on Whatsapp and their promises of resolution I still have no access. Message is 'Your Virgin Media Mail' account is unavailable.'

Is there any way I can get this resolved?

The first step to making the email account available is to check that it is still attached to a current Virginmedia broadband account.

If it is, follow the current email guidelines at 

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/broadband/manage-email-account

My e-mail account was working perfectly well today until about 19.00 when it stopped and I had this message when I tried to open it:

Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable. This is either because your Virgin Media Mail account is locked, or because you don’t have an active account with us anymore. If you have an existing Virgin Media Mail account with us, please follow the steps below, as your account may have been locked as a security precaution.

This happened before, and I waited a few hours and the e-mail account became usable again. Shall I wait, or should I change the password, etc, as in the following paragraphs?

Sorry to see you're both having issues with your emails. Just to confirm have the support provided by @jpeg1 helped with this issue at all? If the email account it locked it is best to go through running an anti virus scan then resetting the password as this will then unlock the email address.

I've tried all of this and still cant't access the account. The Customer service team logged an IT ticket a week ago and I had no update. They tried to reset the password on Friday and it still doesn't work.

I've changed my password and e-mail access address, and I have successfully signed back into Virginmedia and have access once more to my e-mail account.

I do have another question. I have a combined e-mail and would like to change the password for my secondary account. How do I do this? I can't see how this is done.
