I'm getting a "Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable" message. However, I have just successfully changed the password but I am told the account is still locked. Can you help please?

Two points to consider:
1) When you reset the password did you also go through the process of specifying a non Virgin Media email account to use fir verification purposes? The thing is that once you have linked a non VM email address to your VM email account you have to use that non VM email address as the username rather than you VM email address when signing in to your VM account. Your VM email address remains unchanged but you need to use the non VM address as the username when signing in to your VM webmail and your My Virgin Media account.
2) If your VM email account is locked, the advice given by Virgin Media is that after resetting the password you need to wait a while before attempting to access the account with the new password. Try resetting the password again but then wait at least 30 minutes before accessing your account.
