I was on the phone earlier for 50mins about another problem and they told me they were sending me an email which I haven't received on my mobile phone or Desktop.
When I try signing in to webmail they keep telling me that my username or password is wrong and I have tried all different combinations including the secondary email address and password that was allocated and nothing works. How is it that I am signed in to my email using my phone and Desktop but can't sign into webmail ? More importantly where has the email I was promised gone ??
I don't want to click on 'forgotten password' on the webmail in case it stops me from getting them on my phone etc but I can't think where this email they have sent me could be unless it is stuck in webmail..

Those on X have only given me the link to Essentials which I have already tried but just keeps going round in circles. I explained this in the phone call. I'd really like to know where this email is that they said they'd send or were they just fobbing me off ?
Either way my present contract ends on 4th November so I need to ring up and cancel next Friday. I am presently looking for another provider that offers broadband only if Virgin can't help. I'm really not bothered about the TV as I only watch the Freeview channels.

Yes they were just fobbing you off, they didn't know how to help you (your particular issue not being in their list of scripted responses), so they resort to, well, lying to get you off the phone so they can move on.
