Old VM email hacked

Hello,

like others I’ve seen here, when I left VM many years ago, the email account stayed active and didn’t close after 90 days.

It has now been hacked and as I am unable to change passwords or access settings I’d like some advice on how to close it permanently.

can anyone here advise next steps or help resolve?

As you may have seen on other posts on this forum, the Forum Team (VM staff who support this forum) can get that email account deleted for you.

One of the Team will contact you via this thread and take the details by private message either today or tomorrow.

Can someone from the Forum Team get in touch? The hacker is now trying to send out messages which seem to be bouncing back at the moment.

Bearing in mind the situation I have just escalated the issue to the Forum Team. Hopefully that will help speed things up.

Have you replied to @Steven_L 's Private message?

If not, click on the envelop icon at the top right of this forum screen. If you are viewing on a mobile then you'll need to touch the round icon at the top of the forum screen and then touch "messages" in the drop down menu.

I did reply but hadn’t seen the message for a couple of hours so don’t know if it was too late.
