VM are sending out emails like that to notify of accounts being closed. But there if they are genuine there is nothing for you to do and no need to click on any links. You'll find out if it was genuine when the email stops working.
Never click on any link like that.

We've contacted a small amount of customers who still have an active e-mail account but no longer have Virgin Media services to make them aware that we'll soon be closing said e-mail account.
However, as advised by @goslow, the message you're referring to is a scam as the e-mail we've sent does not contain any links and is for information purposes only.
